Postcard PrintingHow many of the advertisements you receive in the mail get your full attention? Not too many. After awhile they all look alike. Which brings us to the dilemma of every business person who advertises – How do I make mine different? That, as it happens is entirely up to you. It’s a good idea to use postcards for your direct mail campaigns. They are smaller, sturdier, and more attention-getting than newsprint or even glossy paper pages. But there is still the danger of looking just like everybody else. You want custom postcard printing. Most people design their postcards on the Internet using a template provided by a printing company. For a unique card choose a photo of your own and add it to the printer’s template. Resize it to go all the way to the edge, leave a narrow white border or place it on a library background. Use the template layout to decide where to put the text, and what type and size of font to use. If you are experienced in using publication or graphic tools, you can be a little bolder. Try a single headline in a banner over the picture, or just the name of your company in one corner (contact info on the back). And if you’re feeling very adventurous, start with a completely blank card and go to it – colors, border fonts, you decide where it all goes. Warning: this is only for the skilled. You want your postcards to look unique, not cheesy. |
